Plan tomorrow the night before
Urtudu is a day planner for iPhone built around one habit: writing tomorrow’s list each evening, then waking up already knowing your day.
How it works
- Tonight: check off what you got done, and add anything you finished that wasn’t on the list. Say how the day went. Then write tomorrow’s list while it’s still in your head, break a task into steps, and star the one that matters most.
- Tomorrow morning: open the app to a plan you already made. Nothing to decide, nothing to remember.
- During the day: check things off as you go. Hold and drag to reorder.
It takes just a few minutes each evening.
The evening is also where the day gets closed
Writing tomorrow’s list is half of it. In the same sitting you check off today and note how it felt, so the plan and the record live in one place. Over time that becomes a journal of ordinary days: what you actually did, and how it felt.
What the research says about writing the list at night
In a 2018 sleep-lab study at Baylor University, 57 adults spent five minutes writing at bedtime. The people who wrote a to-do list for the coming days fell asleep in 15.8 minutes on average. The people who wrote down what they had already finished took 25.1 minutes. That is about nine minutes faster, and the more specific the to-do list, the faster they fell asleep.

The details
- Repeat tasks fill themselves in on the days you choose.
- Optional reminders: an evening nudge to close the day, and a morning summary.
- You can schedule a task up to a month ahead for free, and further with Pro.
- No streaks to stress over. Miss a night and you can still close that day for a week afterward.
- No account, no ads, and never used to train AI. What you write never leaves your phone.
